‘…Can’t See The Point Of This Kind Of Duplication…’

‘Dear Sir – I have just had a look online at this latest publication from Bolsover District Council. I sincerely hope that this is not being produced and distributed to all Bolsover residents. The majority of this 30 page publication has already been covered in the ‘In Touch’ newsletter – same photos and articles – published this month. I might be missing something, but I really can’t see the point of this kind of duplication. I’m all for residents being kept up-to-date with what is going on locally but why can’t the leader’s ‘half term report’ be incorporated into the ‘In Touch’ newsletter? It goes out four times a year to all Bolsover residents doesn’t it? While we are told that the council has to make efficiency savings in this latest publication, yet they seem to be needlessly wasting money on this kind of thing. I would also like to know why we don’t get the Barlborough News quarterly anymore? What’s happened to that – in fact I don’t think I can remember the last time we had one. A disgruntled Barlborough resident.’

We note that there are too many pictures of Cllr Eion Watts and not enough reflecting the ethnic and cultural diversity of the District.
