‘Dear Barlborough Life,
I would like to advise Barlborough Life that I have notified Barlborough Primary School Governing Body of my intention to step down as Chair of Governors and a Governor of the school at the end of the school year in July. This decision has been part of my exit plan since 2007 as both my children have left the school and I believe that to perform the role a governor should have close contact with the school. I have written to Barlborough Life as I am aware that many people read the blog and I felt it necessary to ensure that the residents of Barlborough were given the true facts before the Labour Party gossips start their web of lies. As you are aware the Barlborough Labour Party have tried on a number of occasions to have me removed from the Governing Body without success. Fortunately with the support of the Governing Body they have realised that I work for the school and not against it which has resulted in Labour Party members resigning.
I wish the school every success and have thoroughly enjoyed my time as a Governor.
Chair of Governors’
