Bolsover Admit To Failing Residents

Received in the Inbox: 17:51 15 April 2012

Dear Barlborough Life

I thought I would send you the response from Bolsover regarding their failure to deliver council services:
Re: Your complaint (Stage Two) received on 12th March 2012.
Further to your e-mails received on 12th March 2012, and your subsequent e-mail to the Chief Executive Officer received on 21st March 2012, concerning the litter around the entrance to Barlborough, I have now investigated the complaint with Adie Lowery, Street Services Manager, and have the following information:
Adie Lowery confirms that, on the 27th February 2012, job number CRM 356312 for the removal of general litter at the above site, was completed. Unfortunately, this is one of the areas which the Street Services Department clear of litter and it is littered again in a very short time. I can confirm that we do carry out regular litter picks as well as continual one-off litter picks. However, upon further investigation, Adie Lowery has found the litter pick for this area was not carried out to our usual high standard and would like to apologise to you. As such, he has arranged for a more thorough ‘deep cleanse’ of the area which will be carried out within the next week.
He would also like to assure you that the Street Services Department has increased inspections for this area and will continue to liaise with our Environmental Health Department in order to provide education and information on prevention.

Name and address supplied

Thank you for the update as of today the area was still a mess so perhaps by Friday 20th April the area may look tidy?
