Dear Barlborough Life
As a regular reader of your blog I know that you don’t normally promote this sort of event, however if you could spare a few column inches it would be truely appreciated!
The Royal Oak is pleased to announce its first ever beer festival over the August bank holiday weekend from Friday 24th ? Monday 27th August inclusive.
Mike and Karen Langhorne the current owners of The Oak arrived a few months ago and they are both keen to source as much food and servies as locally as possible and the selection of beers for the festival aims to continue that philosophy with 12 out of 14 of the beers being supplied from brewers within a 20-mile radius of Barlborough.
I have attached a draft of the beers being selected although this may change before the weekend due to logistical reasons!
There will also be some superb live music on
Friday 24th Beautiful Hearts of the North (Acousitc Trio)
Saturday 25th Sheanighans (Irish Music)
Sunday 26th Northern Quarter (Six piece acoustic group)
And finally on the Saturday there will also be a pig roast available.
Leaflets will also be distributed round the village over the next few days with a voucher for a free half!
What more reasons do people need to come and support their local village pubs!
Name and Address Supplied
It’s good to see that our local residents and businesses are arranging Bank Holiday events for the village.
